Recommended Readings

This is a short list of books that I recommend to anyone who wants to learn more about Autism. For anyone with a family member or friend who has autism. Really, everyone could gain from reading these books (though the manual is more for those wanting to start their own home-based ABA program). These books inspired me.
  1. Let Me Hear Your Voice  by Catherine Maurice
  2. Behavioral Intervention for Young Children With Autism: A Manual for Parents and Professionals
  3. The Way I See It: A Personal Look at Autism and Asperger's by Temple Grandin
  4. Living With Rain Girl: And other under the weather conditions by Angela Loeppky
More to come.

My thoughts on any general "all you need to know about autism" books. I don't necessarily recommend them. Simply because they are very generic. Many of the beliefs taught in these books have a hard time pin pointing the reality of living with someone with Autism. Every book on my list tells a real life account of autism.
